- X-Comm Changes File
-
-
- BF - Denotes Bug Fix.
- NF - Denotes New Feature.
- MA - Minor Addition.
-
-
- Version 1.00 (10.1.93)
-
-
- - Initial Release.
-
- Version 1.00a (13.1.93)
-
-
- Note: This version is mainly a bugfix for the more obvious problems
- found in version 1.00. Thankyou to everyone for all their help in finding
- these bugs.
-
- BF - Some serial drivers would not work properly with X-Comm
- (Dnet.device etc). This (I hope) has been fixed. I have tested
- X-Comm with as many as I could try. Serial routines were also
- slightly optimized in the process.
-
- BF - Going into the phonebook, dialing an entry, going back into the
- phone book from the dialer, and then dialing again would crash.
- This was a problem with endless recursion and has been fixed. This
- may also fix some of the problems related to crashing when
- connecting to a system.
-
- MA - I have attempted to implement 'Control-Space' or 'Control-Shift-2'
- as some people have requested this when Vt100 cursor mode was
- enabled. I have no idea what value this combination should send
- out, so I am hoping that the MapRawKey() function will perform this
- correctly. Note that this remap will only take place when 'VT100
- Cursors' is enabled in the Terminal window.
-
- BF - Selecting 'File Control' in the phonebook entry editor in the
- unregistered version would sometimes cause a crash. This has
- been fixed.
-
- BF - The installation script reported an incorrect version number of the
- version of the reqtools library to install. It would just display
- the version of the library currently in RAM, so it would appear
- that you had the same version of the library as was included in the
- distribution. Please note that the version included in this
- distribution is 38.961. I have tried to fix this problem by placing
- an 'Avail FLUSH' command in the script, but I cannot guarantee
- that this will fix the problem.
-
- NF - X-Comm is now distributed with a program called 'Munchit'. It
- allows you to delete entries from your binary logfile, so as to
- keep the information current. It is fairly straightforward, and can
- be loaded from within X-Comm by selecting the 'Load Munchit' button
- from the Binary Log Analyse Window. Please read the Readme file
- regarding Munchit for more information.
-
- The Next Release
-
-
- The next release of X-Comm will include some of the most requested
- features. Mainly this includes an internal Vt100 emulation with text
- snapping on the main screen, and the ability to disable the status bar down
- the bottom of the screen, aswell as some other features.
